A Taste of Greece in Mechanicsburg

If you didn’t get a chance to go to the Pennsylvania Greek Festival in May and you are craving the wonderful tastes of Greece, then you are luck. Mechanicsburg has a charming traditional Greek restaurant to satisfy your cravings. Hellenic Kouzina offers the perfect atmosphere for a date night or for an evening out with friends.

Pulling up to the restaurant for the first time, one will see the fire pit tables on the patio where you can eat your dinner and drink. In warmer months, they offer seating in a courtyard with fountain and hanging lights.

The restaurant is “café” style where you order your food and then you sit. Standing in line only makes it harder to choose what you want as you see the food being delivered and smell what the kitchen is cooking up from behind the counter. The menu offers traditional gyros to moussaka, souvlaki, and lamb shanks.

When you go, bring your appetite as portions are large and most are served with your choice of side dishes. It is a very fulfilling meal. Start off with the Saganaki, which is feta flambeed in front of you. It is a delicious beginning to a tasty meal.

Hellenic Kouzina is a charming BYOB café that is a must eat-at restaurant to experience.
